Getting Started

Thank you for your purchase!
On this page you’ll find all the information you need to get started with your Catit Circuit Ball Toy.

How do I teach my cat to play with their new Circuit Ball Toy?

If you have purchased a red (#43000) or blue (#43001) Catit Circuit Ball Toy, you’ll find a small bag of catnip is included to entice your cat to scratch and play. Rub a pinch of catnip between your fingers to release the aroma and sprinkle it onto the toy. If your cat is sensitive to catnip, you’ll notice they will soon start to become more playful. For more enticement, we offer a wide range of catnip products.

The Circuit Ball Toy with Grass Planter (#43002) contains a pack of seeds and vermiculite to plant cat grass with. It takes about a week for the grass to be fully grown, and you’ll notice in the process that your cat is getting more curious and engaged with their toy every day.

How do I plant the grass seeds that came with my green Circuit Ball Toy?

Fill the Grass Planter base with water and allow the seeds to soak overnight.
Cover the bowl with a sheet of paper towel.
Rinse and pour the seeds into the bowl to let dry for a few hours.
Afterwards, keep the seeds moist with a wet paper towel or spray bottle.
Keep at it until the seeds have sprouted. Lift them out by holding the paper towel by its corners.
Add the bag of vermiculite to the bowl.
Spread the sprouted seeds evenly onto the vermiculite surface. Do not mix.
Add the grid cover once the grass starts growing.
Water every so often. After a few days, the grass is ready.

Tips for best results:

  • Keep the Grass Planter at ambient temperature near a light source.
  • Add water according to your local environmental conditions. Consider when and how much water is given at any point in time, as overwatering will cause fungi growth.
  • Push the grid cover down every once in a while, as the growing grass can push it up.

Cleaning & maintenance

How do I clean the Catit Circuit Ball Toy?

I want to grow a fresh batch of cat grass in my green Catit Circuit Ball Toy, can I?
