Place the scratcher in a spot where your cat is allowed to scratch, or next to your sofa and other pieces of furniture, if you’d like to divert your cat’s attention from those. Cats love to scratch in your vicinity to draw your attention. If your cat isn’t scratching right away, try to demonstrate how it’s done by scratching and fiddling with the Senses Scratcher a little. You can also try re-stacking the scratcher discs into different arrangements to see which is preferred by your cat.

TIP: If your cat is sensitive to catnip (about 65% of cats are), we offer a wide range of catnip products that will help entice them to play and scratch. Coat the scratcher with some catnip spray or rub a pinch of dried catnip between your fingers to release its aroma before sprinkling it onto the scratcher.

My cat loves their Senses Scratcher! Can I add to this experience?

All Catit Senses toys can be mixed and matched into an extendable playground that keeps your cat stimulated. We recommend adding a Catit Senses Circuit (#43154, #43155, #43156) to your Senses Scratcher for an enhanced experience.

Can I replace the cardboard scratcher discs?

Each of the Senses Scratcher’s cardboard discs can be rotated, flipped and replaced individually. We offer a set of 8 refill cardboard discs called the Senses Cardboard Backbone (#42469W), which is enough to renew the entire Scratcher.
