This is a bit of a a trick question! Neither cats nor dogs have much side-to-side jaw movement. Their jaws are designed mainly to move up and down, unlike humans, cows, or horses, which can grind food with side-to-side chewing motions. A jaw that only opens gives a stronger bite, helps hold onto prey, and decreases the risk of getting injured during a struggle.
Cats spend more hours sleeping each day than most dogs

Cats are champion nappers. The average adult cat sleeps about 12–16 hours a day, and some cats, especially kittens and seniors, can sleep 18–20 hours in a 24-hour period. Dogs sleep a lot too, but most adult dogs average around 10–14 hours a day. The exact amount depends on the dog’s age, breed, size, and activity level. Puppies, senior dogs, and giant breeds often sleep more than the average dog.
