    The buttons on top of the Catit PIXI Smart Vacuum Food Container are soft touch controls. They only need a light tap of your finger to activate.

    Power

    Turn device ON

    The PIXI Smart Vacuum Food Container is charged for 80% on arrival, and can be used right away. The device only needs to be turned ON once, and should only be turned OFF when you don’t plan on using it for a longer period of time.

    Turn the PIXI Smart Vacuum Food container on

    Touch and hold the ’Unlock’ button for about 5 seconds. The device will beep once, and the blue LED light will turn on for about 1 minute. The device is now powered on.

    Only turn the device OFF if you won’t be using it for a longer time.

    Touch and hold the ’Lock’ button for about 5 seconds. The device will beep once as it is powered off.


    Fill the container with food

    Open the lid and fill the Catit PIXI Smart Vacuum Food Container with your cat’s favourite dry food. The max. fill height is at 0.4 inches (1cm) below the top edge. 


    Daily use

    Energy-saving mode: After about 30 seconds of inactivity, the device will automatically switch to energy-saving mode. To operate the device, you need to wake it first by pressing the ‘Unlock’ button for up to 1 second. If successful, the blue LED will light up for 3 seconds.

    CLOSE container

    Carefully replace the lid so it sits level on top of the container. Wake the device (see ‘Energy-saving mode’ above). When the device is awake, tap the ‘Lock’ button once to start the vacuum creation process. The device will beep once, with flashing blue LED light, as the pump audibly removes air from the container. (You can gently push down on the lid for about 5 seconds to help ensure a successful vacuum seal.)

    When the process is finished, the blue LED will light up for 5 seconds along with 2 short beeps. This process takes about a minute, depending on how much air was inside of the container. 

    Throughout the day, the Catit PIXI Smart Vacuum Food container may automatically reactivate the pump for a few seconds, to keep the container vacuum.

    OPEN container

    If the container is vacuum-sealed, you won’t be able to open the lid before releasing the vacuum.

    Wake the device (see ‘Energy-saving mode’ above). When the device is awake, briefly press the Unlock button (up to 1 second). The blue LED will flash as air flows back into the container. When the process is finished, the blue LED will light up for 5 seconds along with 2 short beeps. You can now open the lid to take out kibble or replenish the food container.

    Recharging the battery

    When the battery is running low, the device will beep regularly, with flashing red LED light. If the red LED light is turned on continuously, this means the battery’s power level is below 15%.

    Gently peel back the silicone strip covering the USB-c port. Insert the USB-c cable into the device and connect it to a USB-A adapter (5V, min. 1 A) or directly to a USB power supply (5V).

    The blue LED light will blink slowly while the device is charging. When the blue LED light is turned on continuously, this means the battery is fully charged. 

    Depending on the frequency of use, the Catit PIXI Smart Vacuum Food Container only needs recharging every two weeks.
