How do I plant the seeds?

How long does it take for the grass to grow?

It takes a few days for the grass to grow, and 10 days for it to become fully grown.

How long does the cat grass stay good for once it is fully grown?

Always keep an eye on the overal condition and freshness of the grass, as to judge when to plant a new batch. On average, the grass will stay fresh for about 1-2 weeks once fully grown.

2. Planting media (seeds and vermiculite)

My cat ate some of the planting media. Is it harmful?

Neither the vermiculite or seeds are meant for consumption, but they are not harmful when ingested. When in doubt, we recommend to consult with your veterinarian.

Can the planting media be recycled?

The cat grass seeds and vermiculite can be recycled in garden or flower pots.

Are the seeds and vermiculite available separately?

The Catit Cat Grass Kit contains 3 bags of seeds and 3 bags of vermiculite.

3. Maintenance

How do I clean the Grass Planter?

All product parts can be cleaned with warm water and a soft sponge, using dishwashing soap. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or an abrasive sponge. Rinse throughly afterward.
