Assembling the PIXI Mini Fountain
Step 1.
Take the fountain out of the packaging and remove the fountain top, filter tray, filter pad, connector tube, spout, pump and USB adapter.
Step 2.
Clean all fountain parts, excluding the filter, and adapter with a soft sponge. Do not use hot or boiling water abrasive cleansers or abrasive materials. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 3.
To disassemble the pump, remove the pump cover and impeller cap, take out the impeller, and clean both the impeller and inner surfaces with a small cleaning brush. Click here for detailed instructions on how to clean the pump. Reassemble the pump after cleaning.
Warning: Always unplug the fountain from the electrical wall socket with dry hands before putting on or taking off parts and whenever the pump is being installed, maintained or handled.

Step 4.
Insert the USB cable into the cable gutter in the reservoir and pull the cable through.
Step 5.
Place the pump beside the reservoir, as shown, to measure out the correct length of cable for installation.
Step 6.
Press the USB cable firmly into the cable groove to secure it.
Step 7.
Attach the connector tube to the pump.
Step 8.
Connect the pump to the filter tray using the connector tube.
Step 9.
Lower the filter tray onto the reservoir. Make sure that the pump is level.
IMPORTANT: When viewed from above, the pump LED should be facing the transparent water-level window. If the pump is positioned differently inside the fountain, the fountain may not work properly.
Step 10.
Remove the filter pad from its packaging and soak it in water for 10 minutes. Shake and rinse the filter pad thoroughly to remove excess activated coconut carbon powder.
Step 11.
Place the filter pad in the filter tray with the pockets facing down.
Step 12.
Press down on the mesh so that it is tucked underneath the plastic tabs in the centre.
Step 13.
Fill the reservoir with water. The water level can be seen through the transparent window on the front of the reservoir. Do not overfill the fountain.
Step 14.
Lower the fountain top onto the reservoir with the indentation facing forwards.
Step 15.
If desired, insert the spout accessory into the opening in the fountain top. Press down firmly to secure it.
Step 16.
Tip: Angle the spout to reduce water noise.
Step 17.
Connect the power cord to the USB adapter and plug it into the wall socket. Secure any excess cord and place it behind the fountain to help prevent chewing and entanglement.
