Planting Guide

Best practices to keep in mind

Keep the Grass Planter at ambient temperature near a light source.

Add water according to your local environmental conditions. Consider when and how much water is given at any point in time, as overwatering will cause mold or fungi growth.

Push the grid cover down every once in a while, as the growing grass can push it up.

Pro trick for growing more cat grass

As with all living things, some seeds need a little more help than others. These steps may be a bit more effort than our standard planting guide, but we have found they help increase the sprouting rate.

1. As a first step, fill the base with water and allow the seeds to soak overnight.

Sprouted barley seeds for growing cat grass — 5. Keep at it until the seeds have sprouted. Lift them out by holding the paper towel by its corners.
