Assembling the PIXI Stainless Steel UV-C Fountain

Step 1.

Take the fountain out of the packaging and remove the water tray, filter tray, filter pad, cleaning brush, charging cable, and electronic unit one by one.

IMPORTANT: The pump of the Catit PIXI UV-C Stainless Steel Fountain contains a small sponge. Do not discard the sponge as it is essential for optimal performance. To clean it, thoroughly rinse it under the tap, then place it back in its holder.

Step 2.

Clean each part thoroughly. Do not use hot or boiling water.

NOTE: Clean the electronic components with a damp cloth. Be careful to keep the USB port, pump DC socket and port completely dry. The other parts can be cleaned by soaking them in water. Only the stainless steel parts are dishwasher safe.

Step 3.

Unplug the pump power cable before removing the pump from the electronic unit. Next, remove the grey connector tube from the unit.

Step 4.

To disassemble the pump, remove the pump cover and impeller cap, take out the impeller, and clean both the impeller and inner surfaces with the included cleaning brush. Click here for detailed instructions on how to clean the pump. Reassemble the pump after cleaning.

Warning: Always unplug the fountain from the electrical wall socket with dry hands before putting on or taking off parts and whenever the pump is being installed, maintained or handled.

Step 5.

Clean the electronic unit using a damp cloth only.

NOTE: The Type-C charging port (3a), DC socket (3b), or pump DC port (3c) must not get wet under any circumstances. They must be completely dry before powering on the device to avoid damage.

Step 6.

Reinsert the grey connector tube. Attach the pump and align it with the electronic unit.

Step 7.

Fill the reservoir with water up to the ‘MAX’ water level line. Do not overfill the reservoir.

Step 8.

Place the filter tray on the reservoir, with the ears positioned at the back, opposite to the nose and whiskers on the stainless steel base.

Step 9.

Take the filter pad out of its packaging and soak it in water for 10 minutes. Shake and rinse the filter thoroughly to remove any impurities, such as activated coconut carbon powder.

Step 10.

Insert the filter into the filter tray, pressing down on the mesh so it is tucked underneath the plastic tabs in the center.

Step 11.

Place the stainless steel tray on top of the filter tray. Align the stainless steel tray shape with the slot for the electronic unit.

Step 12.

Insert the electronic unit with the spout and sensor facing toward the water tray.

Step 13.

Peel off the instruction sticker from the LCD display. The information on the sticker is also available online or in the instruction manual for later reference.

Step 14.

Power on the Catit PIXI Stainless Steel UV-C fountain by pressing and holding the button on the electronic unit for at least 3 seconds.

Step 15.

The Catit PIXI Stainless Steel UV-C fountain has a built-in battery and can operate without the power cord once fully charged. It is recommended to charge the fountain completely before first use. Use the original charging cable and an adapter with an output of 5V–1A that meets all national and local safety standards.
