Let’s get started!
Follow all steps below for a seamless setup, or jump to a specific step by selecting it in the list below.

IMPORTANT: before your get started

Make sure your smartphone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
If you have 2 home Wi-Fi networks, with one being 2.4 GHz, and the other 5 GHz, please make sure you are connected to the 2.4 GHz network!

Next, check the sticker at the bottom of the Catit PIXI Smart Feeder.

If the FCC ID on the sticker reads ‘2ANDL-CBU’ or ‘2ANDL-WBR3’
– Your cat’s new smart feeder can be connected through Bluetooth, so make sure to turn on Bluetooth in your smartphone settings.
– A pop-up will appear in the app. Here, tap “bind” to start the connection process.

If you don’t get a pop-up, please close the PIXI app and reopen. You should now get a pop-up.

If the FCC ID on the sticker IS NOT one of the two codes mentioned above
Follow the steps below to connect your Catit PIXI Smart Feeder to the PIXI app.

4.1 Adding the PIXI Smart Feeder in the app

First of all, please ensure your smartphone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Next, open the PIXI app and tap the ‘+’ button to add a device.

After you select the Catit PIXI Smart Feeder in the device list, tap ‘next’.

Note: Before you head on to the next step, make sure your PIXI Smart Feeder is plugged in and located right next to your wireless internet router. You can of course choose to relocate your Catit PIXI Smart device after you’ve established the connection.

4.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi

The white (or blue) LED light on your PIXI Smart Feeder should be blinking slowly. If not, please press the cat nose-shaped button on the Catit PIXI Smart Feeder for 5 seconds or until the LED light starts to blink slowly. Once this is the case, tap ‘next’.

Now, the app will ask you to connect your smartphone to your home Wi-Fi network. If you haven’t done this yet, please connect to the 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network.

Once your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network, it’s time to wirelessly connect the feeder to your phone. This process will start automatically when you press ‘Next’. Please wait for the app to finish connecting to your Catit PIXI Smart Feeder. This can take up to 3 minutes.
Note: As you start the connection process, the LED light will go out.

4.3 Still not able to connect? Use AP mode

If you didn’t manage to connect your PIXI Smart Feeder to the app using the method described above, you can either retry, or tap the ‘AP Mode’ button on your screen.

After you tapped ‘AP Mode’, press and hold the nose button of your PIXI Smart Feeder for 5+ seconds, until you notice the LED light has started to blink slowly.

Once the Wi-Fi LED is blinking slowly, your device is set to AP mode

Important: Make sure your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network when you press and hold the button to go to AP mode.
Only connect to the ‘Smartlifexxxx’ Wi-Fi after this is requested in the app. Connecting to the ‘Smartlifexxxx’ Wi-Fi too soon will cause the connection to fail.

Now, once the light is blinking slowly, your can connect to the ‘Smartxxxx’ Wi-Fi network. To do so, go to the Wi-Fi settings in your phone.

The connection process can take up to 3 minutes.

If no notification popped up, check if the connection has been established by going to the Wi-Fi settings on your phone. When your phone is connected to the ‘SmartLife’ network (which is the case when a blue check mark is visible), your Catit PIXI Smart Feeder has successfully been added to the Catit PIXI app.
